Police have arrested a 28-year-old Barrie male in connection to the robberies at Mac's Convenience stores on Sunday night and early Monday morning.

The male has been charged with two counts of robbery and one count of assault. He will appear in bail court Tuesday morning.

Investigators would like to thank the public for their assistance.

The Barrie Police Investigative Services is seeking witnesses to assist with identifying a suspect following a robbery at Mac’s Convenience, located at 181 Livingstone Street East, in the City of Barrie.

On Monday, November 16, 2015 at approximately 2:30 a.m. officers attended Mac’s Convenience following a report of a robbery. A male suspect entered the store armed with a hand gun. He disguised himself by covering his face with a hoodie.

The suspect stole a quantity of Canadian currency then fled the scene on foot. The store employee did not sustain any physical injuries.

Responding officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
