Crisis Intervention Training Continues to be an Asset for Barrie Police

The Barrie Police Service will be hosting their Annual Barrie Crisis Intervention Training (C.I.T), the week of Monday February 13 through to Friday February 17, 2017.

The Barrie Crisis Intervention Training is a Collaborative Project by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Royal Victoria Regional Health Center (RVH) and the Barrie Police Service.

Since the inception of C.I.T, over 180 members of the Barrie Police Service have participated in this training, which focuses on; working with individual’s experiencing a mental health crisis, assessment tools, risk factors and building relationships with various community partners.
