Arrest Made Following Theft of Advil from Mac's

The Barrie Police have arrested a 32-year-old Barrie man following a theft of Advil from a Mac's Convenience Store on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Police followed up on an anonymous tips and the male was located downtown, Barrie.

The 32-year-old has been charged with; Theft Under $5,000 and two counts of Breach of Probation. He is scheduled to appear in a Barrie court in March.

Barrie Police have obtained video surveillance of a theft of over-the-counter medication from a convenience store and are looking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect.

On Sunday, February 19th, 2017 at 1:20am a male entered the Mac's Convenience Store located at 151 Bayfield Street, in the City of Barrie.  He selected a bottle of Tylenol and two bottles of Advil concealing them in his pant pocket. He was confronted by the store staff and he pulled the Tylenol bottle out placing it back on the shelf before leaving the store with the two Advil bottles.
