Arrest Made Following Weekend Stabbing

On Tuesday, March 14, 2017,  just after 4:00 a.m. police arrested 24-year-old Holly Goswell-Payne and 28-year-old John Nanibush. The pair were located by police at McDonald's at the corner of Bayfield and Livingstone Street, in the City of Barrie.

The accused's had been wanted on a warrant following a stabbing early Sunday morning at an address on Corbett Drive, in the City of Barrie. The victim had been stabbed multiple times and suffered a head injury after being struck in the head with a baseball bat.

The accused's will appear in a Barrie bail court later today.

On Sunday, March, 12, 2017 just before 1:00 a.m. Barrie Police were called to an address on Corbett Drive in the City of Barrie, for a male who had been stabbed.

Upon arrival police located a 35-year-old Barrie male who had been stabbed multiple times and suffering from head injuries, after being struck with a baseball bat. The male was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre with non –life threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the involved parties are known to one another and have issued arrest warrants for;

Holly GOSWELL-PAYNE (24 yrs.)

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Fail to comply with Probation
  • Utter Threats to Cause Death 

John NANIBUSH (28 yrs.) 

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose 
  • Fail to comply with Probation x2.

Wanted - Stabbing Suspects
