Police Seeking Cleaning Enthusiast Suspect

Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify an individual wanted for a theft from Home Outfitters located at 436 Bryne Drive, in the City of Barrie.

On Tuesday, March 21, 2017, just before 8:00 p.m. a man was captured on video surveillance stealing an IRobot floor mopping robot. He had been observed selecting the IRobot, although employees became suspicious when he began wandering near the front entrance.

The opportunity to flee the store with the merchandise arose as two customers entered the store. As they entered he quickly fled on foot, and was last seen running around the side of the building, heading towards Mapleview Drive, West.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as;

  • Male, white
  • Thin build
  • Wearing a camouflage baseball hat, army green colored jacket with hood, blue jeans and brown shoes.
