ARRESTED - Police Seeking Pizza Lover Following a Break and Enter

On Monday, May 8, 2017, Investigators identified and charged the suspect who had been wanted following thirteen (13) commercial break and enters in the City of Barrie, throughout March and April of 2017.

Investigators have charged a 36-year-old male from Toronto with thirty-four (34) break and enter related charges. The accused faces; thirteen (13) counts of Break and Enter, twelve (12) counts of Possession of Break and Enter Instruments, six (6) counts of Disguise with Intent and three (3) counts of Fail to Comply with Probation.

The 36-year-old male is currently being held at a Toronto detention centre for similar alleged offences that occurred in the GTA. He will appear in bail court at the Barrie Ontario Court of Justice on June 8, 2017.

The Barrie Police Service has received video surveillance and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect responsible for a break and enter at Papa Joes located at 273 Dunlop Street, West, in the City of Barrie.

On Friday, April 7, just before 5:00 a.m., a suspect gained entry into Papa Joes by smashing the front glass door. He then gained entry into the back office utilizing a screw driver to pry open the door. The suspect fled the area before police arrived with an undisclosed amount of money.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as;

Suspect # 1

  • Male, white
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a brown work jacket and white Nike running shoes
