ARRESTED: Police Looking to ID Male After Downtown Theft

The Barrie Police have arrested a male in connection with the theft of cardiovascular supplements after various tips came in including local officers recognizing him. The 43-year-old Barrie male was charged with Theft Under $5000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and three counts of Failing to Comply with Probation. He will attend Barrie Court in June to answer to his charges.


Barrie Police Service is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a male who was caught red handed stealing a bottle of cardiovascular supplements from a downtown business.

On  Wednesday, May 17th, 2017 at approximately 5:30pm a male entered Nutrition Plus located at 42 Maple Avenue, Barrie in the City of Barrie, selecting the bottle of Heartdrops. He left the store without paying but was confronted outside the store by an employee.  The employee managed to get the $140.00 item back and a photograph of the suspect was taken.

  • Male, white
  • 30-35 years old
  • Short, dirty blonde hair slicked back 
  • Slim build 
  • Wearing blue sunglasses
