ARRESTED - Police Seeking Thirsty Robbery Suspect

Investigators have charged a 19-year-old Barrie male following an robbery at Mac's Convenience, located at 110 Little Avenue, in the City of Barrie.

On Saturday, June 24, at 2:30 a.m., a suspect entered Mac’s Convenience, located at 110 Little Avenue, in the City of Barrie, and demanded money. The employee complied with the suspects  demand, prompting him to flee the area with an undisclosed amount of money, cigarettes and a frosty. 

The 19-year-old male had been identified by a witness and located at his residential home in Barrie. He has been charged with; Disguise with Intent, Fail to Comply with Recognizance and two counts of Theft Under $5,000.

The accused was remanded into custody and will appear in bail court Monday morning.

The Barrie Police Investigative Services is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect following a robbery.

On Saturday, June 24, at 2:30 a.m., a suspect entered Mac’s Convenience, located at 110 Little Avenue, in the City of Barrie, and demanded money. The employee complied with the suspects  demand, prompting him to flee the area with an undisclosed amount of money, cigarettes and a frosty. 

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries and the investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as:

Suspect #1                             

  • Male, white
  • Medium Build 
  • Wearing a white balaclava, black jacket with green neon reflectors and black pants. 

The suspect had been captured on video surveillance undisguised two hours prior to the incident, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Barrie Police Investigative Services at 705-725-7025, ext. 2129 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), leave an anonymous tip at www.tipsubmit.com
