Two Males Arrested for Trafficking Cocaine, Heroin and Marijuana

Barrie Police Street Crime Unit began a preliminary investigation after receiving information into persons involved in suspected drug trafficking within the City of Barrie.

On Friday, June 9th, 2017 at 1:15pm the investigation led the Street Crime Unit to conduct a vehicle stop in a business parking lot at 409 Yonge Street, in the City of Barrie. The two males that were inside the vehicle were arrested and the following items were located and seized:

  • 5.5 ounces of Cocaine
  • 1.05 grams of Heroin
  • 18 grams of Cannabis Marijuana
  • Multiple cellular phones
  • A quantity of cash

A 19-year old Barrie male was charged with:

  1. Possession of a Controlled Substance- Cocaine
  2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine
  3. Possession of a Controlled Substance- Heroin
  4. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking- Heroin
  5. Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marijuana
  6. Fail to Comply with Probation
  7. Fail to Comply with Probation

A 19-year-old Toronto male was charged with:

  1. Possession of a Controlled Substance- Cocaine
  2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine
  3. Possession of a Controlled Substance- Heroin
  4. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking- Heroin
  5. Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marijuana

Both males were held at the Barrie Police Service for bail court.  It is believed the street value of the drugs seized in relation to this investigation exceeds $13,700. Investigators feel this seizure and the arrests of these individuals will further thwart trafficking of illicit drugs on the streets of Barrie.
