Theft of Vehicle Batteries

Barrie Police are investigating a theft that took place on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, just after 4:00 a.m., at Sinton Landmark, located at 28 Vespra Street, in the City of Barrie.

Early Tuesday morning at 4:02 a.m., a pick-up truck had been captured on video surveillance entering the Sinton Landmark bus yard. It is believed a suspect(s) removed twenty-four (24) batteries from eight schools buses, as well as a set of Ontario licence plates (SF4 064).

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect vehicle is described as;

  • Model is similar to a GMC 2500 Sierra or Dodge Ram
