Police Week is an excellent opportunity to meet members of the Barrie Police Service and have an inside look at policing! The Barrie Police Service will be hosting various events throughout the City of Barrie during Police Week; this is a family fun filled week! The ceremony will be held in the DSF Cameron Room, at the Barrie Police Service Headquarters, located at 29 Sperling Drive, Barrie, ON. It's that time of year - one of Barrie Police Service's favorite Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) fundraisers for Special Olympics. The 2017 Cops 'n Cowboys will be held at LONESTAR BAR AND GRILL, located in Park Place, Barrie. Uniformed officers and special constables will be shadowing a server and provide food and non-licensed beverages to guests at lunch and at dinner. 100% of the money (tips) collected in that day will go towards Barrie Special Olympic Athletes, which will assist with - training, facilities, equipment, travel and etc. The event will begin at lunch from 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and will resume again at dinner from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. For more information please contact Constable Lindsay White at lwhite@barriepolice.ca or 705-725-7025 ext. 2597
