Highlights of the 2021 BPS Annual Report

Tornado in southeast Barrie

On July 15 an EF2 tornado touched down in southeast Barrie, displacing hundreds of people. Read more about the Barrie Police Service response and how emergency services partners worked together to help those affected.

Evidence-Based Policing

The Barrie Police Service continues to be leaders in innovative police practices and presented virtually at the American Society of Evidence-Based Policing Conference.

BPS Annual Awards

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Barrie Police Service wasn’t able to hold our annual in-person awards ceremony in 2021. Although we were pleased to be able to present the awards to the recipients throughout the year, in a safe, and physically distanced manner, we would like to take this opportunity to recognize the bravery, exceptional achievements and the efforts of citizens and members of the Barrie Police Service throughout 2020.

Community Safety Survey
