The Barrie Police Podcast

The Barrie Police Service Podcast is an informative communication tool that gives viewers an inside look into the different units and areas of the Barrie Police Service. Created for both internal and external audiences, this tool is another way the Barrie Police Service is striving to be transparent and informational.

Social Media Campaigns

Corporate Communications continues to look for new ways to engage with the community and creates multiple educational social media campaigns throughout the year. One of these campaigns was the International Women’s Day video and photos that highlighted the diverse roles that females have within the Service.

Social Media

Social media continues to be a valuable resource and communication tool for the Barrie Police Service. The Service’s social media accounts increase in followers year after year which assists the Service in communicating important information to the public. Followers can view important safety concerns, missing person reports or calls for information as well as get a sneak peak into the range of day-to-day activities that sworn and civilian members participate in.

Residents are reminded that social media is not a reporting tool for crimes but instead offers an opportunity for shared learning and increased community engagement. The Barrie Police Service thanks everyone who follows and shares posts for increased engagement and reach within the community.
