Barrie Police have released surveillance video of an armed robbery that took place in July, in an ongoing effort to identify the two suspects involved.
On Monday, July 22, at approximately 2:45 a.m., the two suspects entered the Circle K located at the Esso Gas Bar at 99 Mapleview Drive East in the City of Barrie.
Upon entering the store, Suspect #1 walked to the counter holding a backpack and demanded money from the victims. At the same time, Suspect #2 walked around the counter, displayed a weapon and demanded cigarettes be placed into a garbage bag he was carrying.
Both suspects then exited the store and were last seen running eastbound on Mapleview Drive.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1
- Male, white
- Approximately 5’8” – 5’10” tall
- 20-25 years old
- Slim build
- Short dirty blond hair
- Wearing a dark grey long-sleeved shirt with a black hood, a dark bandana with white design, black jogging pants and a thin latex glove on his left hand
- Carried a black/grey/purple backpack
- The suspect was not wearing shoes, and had only black socks on his feet.
Suspect #2
- Male, white
- Approximately 5′-8″ – 5′-10″ tall
- Aged 20-25 years
- Slim build
- Longer dark hair
- Left-handed
- Wearing a blue baseball cap with a logo (possibly LEVIS) on front, a dark grey long-sleeve shirt with dark black hoody underneath, blue bandana with white logo, grey jogging pants and white running shoes
