At approximately 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6th, Barrie Police were called to the intersection of Leacock Drive and Edgehill Drive in the city of Barrie for a report of a cyclist that was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

The cyclist, a 45-year-old female was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

It is believed that the vehicle was a dark coloured SUV, possibly a Mitsubishi . The vehicle was last seen travelling northbound on Leacock Drive. The vehicle likely has damage to the front passenger sideview mirror and the front passenger fender.

The investigation is ongoing, and investigators are looking for anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or anyone in the area of Leacock Drive or Eden Drive area who has security camera / doorbell camera or dashcam footage to contact Cst.
