On July 13, 2021, Barrie Police responded to a report of a mischief that occurred the night before at approximately 11:00 p.m. Police learned that an unknown male smashed the passenger side window of a car parked in the parking lot across from 6 Bayfield St. with a hammer. The male is described as: approximately 6 feet tall, medium build, wearing a neon construction vest, duty belt, and yellow helmet. On July 7, 2021, at 4:03 p.m., these two females entered the Toys R Us located at 30 North Village Way and stole 2 Panorama 5” PT2 colour video baby monitors valued at $200. The two female suspects left 3 minutes later after concealing the monitors in a bag without paying for them. The entire theft was captured on CCTV.
