On March 9, 2021, this female attended a bank located on Mapleview Drive East to open a new bank account. Employees at the branch believed that the documentation that the female surrendered was fraudulent and contacted police. The suspect fled the bank on foot and drove away in a four-door white coloured BMW with dark tinted windows. On March 9, 2021, Barrie Police attended to a report of two attempted break and enters at kiosks located in a mall on Bayfield Street. Both kiosks sold mobile communication devices and if it wasn’t for a sounding alarm, may have gone undetected. Mall security responded to one location and a review of the video surveillance showed that prior to this attempt, that the suspects had tried to gain access to another location as well.
