The Barrie Police Service is investigating an overnight mischief that occurred at a home located in the Codrington Street and Nelson Street area of Barrie on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 1:15 a.m.

The homeowner, who was asleep at the time, was awakened to the sound of a glass window breaking after a piece of brick was thrown through a main floor bedroom window. Police immediately responded and did not locate anyone on the property or nearby. A canvass of the immediate area was also conducted and there was no witnesses or video surveillance located that could assist in identifying the person(s) responsible.

Barrie Police is reminding the public that if at any time they observe a person, people or a motor vehicle in an area that they shouldn’t be, to call police immediately; your call could be the call that prevents criminal activity from taking place.
