Technical Data Recovery Examiner
The Barrie Police Services Board is seeking qualified applicants for the position of a full-time Technical Data Recovery Examiner. The Technical Data Recovery Examiner will conduct all forensic examinations of computers, computer-related devices, and mobile devices as a part of ongoing investigations in order to analyze electronic data for the purpose of developing, enhancing, and clarifying evidence to produce clear and concise reports of findings.
The Technical Data Recovery Examiner will also serve as an expert in the field of computer forensics and will be required to provide testimony in Court. The incumbent shall be designated as a Special Constable for judicial purposes and may occasionally be required to deliver presentations and training initiatives to other members of the Service and the public.
