This morning at 4:42 a.m., Barrie Police responded to a Hickling Trail home after a suspicious male was seen by a homeowner looking into their front window. As responding officers made their way into the area of the complaint, they were unable to locate the male as he left on foot prior to their arrival.

Twenty-one minutes later, police were made aware of a similar incident on Hopkins Rd. and while responding, they located a male matching the description as he stood in front of a home on Hickling Trail.

The male was uncooperative with police when the officers were trying to confirm his identity and as a result, he was arrested for Obstruct Police and two counts of Trespass at Night.

A few minutes passed and the male eventually revealed his true identity, and it was at that time that the officers discovered that he was wanted on outstanding warrants for Fail to Comply with a Probation Order and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

The 29-year old male, who is from Barrie, but has no fixed address, was transported to Barrie Police Headquarters where he remains in custody for a bail hearing that is scheduled for later today.
