Police Services Act – Tribunal Dates

Listed below are upcoming hearings within the Barrie Police Service.

  • PC Lesley Johnston will take part in a conference call on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. via conference call (due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic) and a hearing on November 2 – 4, 2020, to answer to four charges of Discreditable Conduct and one charge of Deceit under the Police Services Act stemming from two separate off-duty incidents. 
  • PC Brad Traves will be appearing in person at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at Barrie Police Service Headquarters, located at 110 Fairview Road, Barrie to answer to two charges of Discreditable Conduct under the Police Services Act stemming from an off-duty incident. An additional charge of Discreditable Conduct under the Police Services Act stemming from an off-duty incident will be addressed on October 23, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. via conference call.


  • Police Services Act Hearing – Finding of Misconduct
    On January 23, 2020, Barrie Police Service Constable Darrell Grant was charged with four counts of Discreditable Conduct under the Ontario Police Services Act. At a hearing on April 3, 2020, Constable Grant entered a plea of guilty to the allegations of misconduct. The Hearing Officer, Superintendent (Ret.) M. Elbers accepted a joint submission and imposed a forfeiture of time in accordance with the Ontario Police Services Act.
