The Barrie Police Service is investigating occurrences that occurred shortly before midnight on Patterson Road in the city of Barrie on November 14, 2023.

Aided by surveillance video, the actions of a male and female were tracked as they went from a business where they tried to pry open the locked doors of a company vehicle. After being unsuccessful, the couple made their way north and cut the fence to an adjacent business and tried to access two recreational vehicles that were locked in a rear compound. After striking out here, they proceeded to an automotive repair business and broke in a locked drop box at the front of the business where keys for vehicles needing repair had been left.

The suspects stole two sets of keys, which allowed them access to two motor vehicles that were parked on the automotive repair business property.

The first vehicle stolen is described as a white 2017 GMC Terrain, licence BFRF347 and the other was a 2020 silver 4-door Kia Forte, licence CPVZ031. Both vehicles were captured on video surveillance and were last seen travelling southbound on Patterson Road.

The suspects responsible are described as:

  • Male white, 20-30 years old, skinny build, wearing a white Adidas hoodie with a grey and blue jacket over top, grey pants and black work boots carrying a large black bag.
  • Female white,18-25 years old, skinny build, wearing a brown/purple hoodie with a yellow scarf, black jacket overtop, black pants with white and black Nike shoes, carrying a small blue backpack.
