This morning, the owner of a 2022 Dodge RAM Sport pick up truck, white in colour, attended the Barrie Police Service Headquarters to report that sometime overnight, his truck had been stolen from his Puget Street driveway here in the city of Barrie.

The victim of this theft reported that he last saw the truck in his driveway last night at around 11:30 p.m. and that when he left his home this morning at 6:30 a.m., it was gone. The truck has a small dent in the rear of the passenger side bumper and has an Ontario licence plate of BR55655.

Along with some personal documents, the victim advised police that in the floor storage area behind the driver’s seat, there was a small cardboard box that was lined with a plastic bag. Contained in that plastic bag were the ashes of a family member who had recently passed away.

Barrie Police is requesting the assistance of the public in locating this truck and if anyone should happen to locate a small cardboard box that has been abandoned or appears to have been discarded, you are encouraged to call police immediately at 705-725-7025 or 911, if the truck is being operated on the road or highway.
