At approximately 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021, Barrie Police responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision between an ambulance and a motorcycle at the intersection of Bayfield and Livingstone Streets.
The motorcycle driver, a 35-year-old male was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The motorcycle passenger, a 35-year-old female was taken to a local hospital, then to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries. There are no updates to the passenger’s condition at this time.
The ambulance was responding to a call at the time of the collision but did not have any patients on board.
The investigation is ongoing, but police are asking any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam from the Bayfield and Livingstone Street area around 6:00 p.m. to contact Constable D. Langdon at [email protected].
