On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, between 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., the Barrie Police Service, in conjunction with community partners from the Elizabeth Fry Society, Crime Stoppers of Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka and City of Barrie Ward 5 Councillor and Deputy Mayor Robert Thomson will host a Safety and Crime Prevention Walk.
This walk will allow residents of Ward 5 to gather and walk together through their community and learn about how to keep both their community and homes safe while incorporating crime prevention concepts associated with Crime Prevention through Environmental Design.
The walk is scheduled to begin at the Lampman Lane Community Centre which is located at 59 Lampman Lane and will include a welcome form our partners and instruction on how the walk will take place. Afterwards, the Safety and Crime Prevention Walk will occur and conclude with a presentation from Crime Stoppers and closing statements. For those who have registered for the walk, Domino’s Pizza will be providing pizza slices at the conclusion of the evening’s planned events.
Anyone wishing to participate is encouraged to register using the QR Code located on our poster or visit the Barrie Police website www.barriepolice.ca for additional details.
