On Thursday, June 22, 2023, shortly after 1:30 a.m., Barrie Police responded to a report of a mischief after the front glass door of a Bayfield Street convenience store was broken.

Upon arrival at the scene, the suspect, a 31-year-old female of no fixed address was observed sitting on the ground directly in front of the store. The female was taken into custody and transported to Barrie Police Headquarters where the investigation continued. At Headquarters, police learned that the accused was presently bound by a probation order that was breached as a result of her breaking the glass door to the convenience store.

The accused, who for reasons unknown kicked the door and shattered the glass has been charged with Mischief under $5000 and Fail to Comply with Probation. She was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Barrie on August 2, 2023.
