The Barrie Police Service is investigating an assault that occurred on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., at the intersection of Mulcaster and Collier Streets.

From the investigation that followed, police have determined that a taxi driver was assaulted by an unknown male who opened his unlocked door and began to strike him with a steel object that is believed to be a tire iron.
