On Wednesday, August 7, a male suspect entered the Circle K located at 555 Mapleview Drive West in the City of Barrie and didn’t buy any merchandise, but he did help himself to a tray of scratch-off lottery tickets from behind the counter.

After entering the store, the suspect selected a bag of milk from the fridge and brought it to the counter as if he intended to make a purchase. Before the clerk could make their way to the counter, the suspect reached over, grabbed the tray full of tickets and fled out of the store.

The investigation is ongoing and police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, white
  • Thin build, 140 to 160 pounds
  • 25 to 35 years old
  • Light-brown hair and facial hair

Wearing a white baseball cap with a red brim and the letter B in black writing, a black t-shirt with white writing, blue jeans and black and white skateboarding shoes.

Investigating officers are asking anyone who may have information to please contact D/Constable B. Carleton of the Barrie Police Service at 705-725-7025 ext. 2549 or [email protected].
