Sometime overnight between September 8-9, 2021, an unlocked vehicle was entered while it was parked on Maple Avenue and a quantity of property that included a mobile device, a pair of Air Pods, 2 pairs of prescription glasses, and a grey/black Under Armour gym bag that contained clothing and shoes was stolen. The next morning after realizing the theft, the victim messaged his stolen phone in an attempt to reacquire the stolen property. The suspects returned the message and a meet was arranged at the Circle K located at 151 Bayfield St. After paying three suspects a quantity of money, he was able to get his mobile phone and some clothing back, but the other items were not returned. Although this approach was rather unique, police do not recommend people to arrange meetings with suspected thieves as this could potentially result in a dangerous outcome. Surveillance video did however clearly capture the image of an involved female suspect who is described as female, with dark hair in a bun, glasses, and in her 30’s. If you recognize this person, please email Constable Ford at [email protected]. |
