Yesterday, the Barrie Police Service received information with regard to a mischief that had taken place sometime Saturday after the victim parked his motor vehicle at a Yonge Street parking lot.
The victim in this incident reported to police that he had parked his car at that 8:15 a.m. and travelled to Toronto by train. When he returned at 10:30 p.m. and drove away, he discovered that the left rear tire had been slashed.
The Barrie Police Service is reminding the public that anytime you leave your vehicle unattended in a public place, to always conduct a circle check before driving away as this will quickly identify if there are any issues that need addressing, such as a flat tire.
The estimated cost at replacing the tire is $350 and at this time, there are no known suspects.
