he Barrie Police Service is currently recruiting for sworn Police Officers and civilian Special Constables! On Tuesday, October 17th, we will be hosting a Women in Policing – Employment Information Session.

If you are a woman working on your application and would like a chance to meet our Recruiting Unit, learn more about the recruitment process, run a practice beep test, and meet other hopeful police officers and special constables, join us at this Women in Policing – Employment Information Session. If you have a completed application package, bring it with you to have it reviewed.

Space is limited in this session, so register soon! Additional sessions will be announced in the near future for all applicants.

Cst. Melanie Turner will review the application process and provide information on the variety of opportunities available within the Barrie Police Service. 

Attendees will have the chance to speak with Cst. Melanie Turner and Sandra Moore about the application process, what recruiters are looking for and what it’s like as a woman in policing. 

For those looking to apply to be a sworn police officer, an optional practice beep test will be offered as well. Applicants must be able to achieve a level 7 in the beep test as a pre-requisite for attending the Ontario Police College.
